The GO+ is a compact alternative to the larger MPVs as well as a larger alternative to the regular hatchbacks. The company quotes GO+ as an 'estate / station wagon' that offers 5+2 seating. But it wouldn't be out of place to call it a 5-seater with a large boot (vis-a-vis an optional 7-seater MPV).
The Datsun Go+ looks like a stretched version of the Go hatchback and shares many of its design cues including the front fascia and the overall shape. It is 1.6 meters wide, 1.4-meters high and more importantly 3.95 (wheelbase of 2450mm) meters long qualifying it for the concessions available under the sub four-metre rule when it is launched in India.
Datsun is trying to make a mark in the entry level market and to keep the costs low datusun has not offered alloy wheels with this car. All the variants come with Steel Rims and very slim and mileage efficient 155/70R13. We particularly are not fans of 155 mm width tyres on a 7 seater in India. If possible the owners should try and go for wider tyres.
